This pen is in fully working order, it was cleaned, polished and new sac was installed. Surface is nice but has some medium deep scratches.The nib section has a tiny cheap-off on the edge.The upper part of the nib has some deep scratches and it is not perfect.The white button has cracks on the surface. Beautiful collector ??s item or an excellent pen. The filling system needs to be cleaned, lubricated and possibly repaired. The fountain pen has not been disassembled (I didn't know how).

The pen is 5 inches closed and 5.75 inches with the cap posted. It is in near mint plus condition. The celluloid pattern is red herringbone. The celluloid is perfect; nice and shiny. The trim shows no brassing and is in wonderful condition. The nib is a 14k original to the pen and is a broad flexy nib. It is a piston filler and the famous click system works perfectly. This pen dates to the mid-1950s. A really excellent example of a pen that rivaled the Montblanc 146 during that era. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

eBay Soennecken Rheingold No. 613. This pen dates to 1945. It is a button filler that is activated by twisting the barrel end to reveal the white button that is then pressed to fill the visualated barrel. Ink level is easily visible through the visualated barrel. This pattern was called silver ray. The pen has gold filled trim and the name imprinted on the clip and the barrel rings are possibly rhodium plated; not sure. The cap has the eagle logo. The pen is equipped with the original Soennecken broad, italic, flexible nib. This came to me new old stock but I have filled it several times. As close to a mint vintage Soennecken as you can get.
